JIMI HENDRIX The Cry Of Love (Rumoured to be one of only five in existence, this 1971 CRIMSON RED vinyl test pressing has become the stuff of legend. Pressed up to test the dealer reaction to vinyl colour ofthe Pink Fairies' 'Never Never Land' LP, they used the plates from the current production run - Cry Of Love - as the Fairies' album wasn't ready at that time. The first side of the disc has the correct Track label for the Jimi LP, but with theFairies beingon parent company Polydor, they switched the side two label for an available Polydor label for colour comparison - In this case 'The Very Best Of Bert Kaempfert'! Both sides are the as issued Cry Of Love, despite what the label says.
