THE GRAHAM BOND ORGANISATION The Sound Of 65 (1965 first UK issue blue & black label 14-track mono LP, the astounding debut from Graham Bond, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker & Dick Heckstall-Smith, offering an innovative fusion of R&B, blues & jazz, showcasing the outstanding musicianship of the quartet, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve is a nice surviving copy from the mid sixties & shows a few corner creases & paper loss from chipping to the laminate, with both panelsnice & clean & no writing. There is a 1" split in the bottom opening & a 1" split in the bottom flip. The latter has been carefully glued back & could be taped for added reinforcement. The colours are fantastic looking & all text, including the spine, is clear & legible. A far better than average copy & there really aren't too many concerns with it. For such a great album, we have professionally cleaned both sides on a top of the line Matrix machine & playback is immense. The wax is Excellent & there are just a few faint paper hairlines which do not affect play. A wonderful, if not mint, example - this was the sound of '65! 33SX1711)
