This really is quite an astonishing find as we'd only ever seen book pictures before this turned up. Withdrawn in the early Seventies, this Stereo issue was pressed in very small quantities for export to Europe [presumably American Forces bases, as they were in the US configuration]. It is thought that the Mono copies outnumber the Stereo by a considerable margin, so the fact that this has the much later boxed logo label is quite astonishing, given that the initial quantity pressed had the open logo label. Being withdrawn in the early Seventies, which would have been soon after this, you would not have expected them to press again.
Consequently, of the rarer Stereo versions, this HAS to be much rarer than the first issue.
We have been unable to even estimate the total quantities of these Export LPs that were produced, Mono or Stereo, so this assessment is based on logic, with the certainty that as they were withdrawn in the very early Seventies, any boxed logo presses would have been extremely short lived.

The unique front laminated picture sleeve variant remains in nice condition. The colours are still rich, the laminate is crisp and clean with little signs of storage.
The unlaminated back shows very little shelfwear, with just some minor age darkening in places. An above average example, we're pleased to say.

The machine stamped matrix numbers are as follows:

Side one ZAL 6791-2L
Side two ZAL 6792-3L

This is given for completeness' sake as they have no other value as an indicator of anything in this case..

The labels are the familiar blue with siver print. The Decca logo is Boxed with 'ffss' FULL FREQUENCY STEREOPHONIC SOUND silver bar below the logo.

The spindle hole shows little evidence of play, with the vinyl remaining in EX-/EX condition. Although obviously played, this copy shows no significant scuffs or blemishes & remains in fabulous condition that belies its forty years & more.

A real gem. The first 'Boxed' logo copy we have seen in over thirty years of scouring the world for just this type of rarity.
