Released in December 1966, the Australian issue was unusual because it had black Decca labels instead of light blue and the sleeves were printed in the UK as Australia was unable to manufacture with the integral photo booklet.
After the initial imported sleeve stocks were exhausted, they reverted to an Australian printed single pocket variant, but still with the black design label.

The labels are similar in design to the open Decca logo labels of the UK, but printed silver on black instead of light blue. There are just a few spindle marks evident around the spindle hole.

The vinyl itself remains in excellent condition with very little sign of play & just the odd light surface mark to show for nearly fifty years.

The sleeve, as previously mentioned, is the UK Robert Stace printed front laminated gatefold with integral six page photo booklet.
It amazingly remains free from creasing & any but the lightest shelfwear. There is a minute amount of edge scuffing but nothing of any real note.
There is some clear tape reinforcement where the booklet joins the spine and to the bottom corner of the single thickness front, presumably to prevent damage, as it does not look like the booklet has ever detached from the inner spine of the sleeve, as so many did. In that respect, it has done its job admirably.

A fantastic condition copy of this hard to find first Australian presing !
