This rare double compilation LP was issued and presented to employees of Factory Records on their Birthday as a thankyou from Tony Wilson for all their hard work.
Each sleeve was numbered on the back out of 1,000. This copy is number 0774.

Neither vinyl or sleeve have tracklisting credits, with the first LP having a 'Conch Shell Red' label and the second a 'Peony Blue' label.
Each side contains three of the twelve tracks.

The run off markings indicate that this was a Direct Metal Mastered collection and have the following engravings:

Side A: FACT-200-A1 * GOODBYE DAVY PILS TOWNHOUSE DMM MAX C 27 12 78 - 5.6.87
Side B: FACT-200-B1 * THE PLEASURE AND THE PAIN.... TOWNHOUSE DMM MAX C
Side C: FACT-200-C * ... OF AN EXTENDED CHILDHOOD TOWNHOUSE DMM MAX C
Side D: FACT-200-D1 * STEPHEN WON'T GO TO STOCKPORT TOWNHOUSE DMM MAX C
Condition:

The sleeve shows just a little light creasing to the very tips of the corners and the beginnings of a split to the centre of the top seam, otherwise remaining near 'as new'.
The vinyl itself is immaculate and shows little evidence of play.

A wonderful copy of this very hard to find promotional issue of the first New Order compilation album.
