BRUTE FORCE King Of Fuh (Super rare 1969 UK unissued Apple 7" vinyl single, backed with Nobody Knows. Solid centre Apple label with proposed 3rd July 1969 release date stamped in red on side one. This one-off single was written and performed by Brute Force [US songwriter, Stephen Friedland], heard by John Lennon who liked the risque nature of the lyrics [Fuh King geddit?], George Harrison overdubbed a string section and the single was scheduled as the eighth Apple release - once the EMI management heard the track they refused to distribute it, as did Capitol in the US. The single was promptly shelved with just a few copies escaping, making it one of the ultimate Apple rarities. The vinyl on this example shows evident wear and is strictly graded G+/VG-, with noticeable scuffs & hairlines. Play-testing reveals a little background noise during run-in but otherwise plays to a higher standard than the visual grading might suggest. The all-important label is clean with very little fading and all text clearly legible, including that legendary catalogue number. This is only the second copy we've ever had the pleasure to offer for sale - highly recommended!)
