REM Radio Free Europe (Incredibly Rare 1981 US first pressing wide-centred 2-track vinyl 7", released on the Hib-Tone Label, WITHOUT the address printed on the centre label of the record, with picture sleeve. This is the debut single from R.E.M,of which only 600 copies are said to have been manufactured and includes the original recording of Radio Free Europe before the band re-recorded it for their 1983 debut album, Murmur. The B-side track is the superb fan favourite, Sitting Still. The labels have only very light discolouration in places, but are still bright and have retained their colour, while the vinyl itself shows only a handful of cosmetic, inaudible surface paper scuffs that would have occurred from being taken in and out of the sleeve. These do not affect play, and it has been handled with care over its near 40-year life span. The sleeve is incredibly fragile, but has stayed intact with no rips, tears or foxing, with only a little corner creasing from storage which is minimal. This is the first copy we have seen in nearly 20 years and is a piece of R.E.M history that shows the humble beginnings of a band that went on to conquer the world. An essential collector's item HT0001)
