DEPECHE MODE Black Celebration (Official and original 1986 Swiss Gold sales award. Presented to Sonet Records Ltd for 25,000 units sold in Switzerland by Phonag Schallplatten AG, this beautiful and scarce award measures 16" x 20" in size and still has it's original polished gold coloured metal frame. The gold disc with blue paper Mute labels is set against a black felt backing and beneath the disc is an engraved presentation plaque.A stunning item and only the second Swiss sales award we've had for this band!) For an award that is 20 years old, the frame is in remarkably good shape but being polished, it does show one or two marks, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance and visual impact.

The deep gold coloured disc itself has some aging speckles and scuffs but given the condition of some of the awards we see at auction, this is by comparison almost immaculate.

A lovely and genuine example from a country that very rarely produces sales awards so get it whilst you can!
