UNKLE BOB Sugar & Spite (2006 UK 11-track CD for the debut album from the five piece band formed in and around Glasgow University, led by singer/songwriter Rick Webster and produced by ex-James guitarist Saul Davies, released on the 'FriendlySounds/Mother City' label set up by Saul Davies & Aaron Moore [Ministry of Sound/EMI]. The band have been compared to acts as diverse as Travis, R.E.M., Prefab Sprout and Radiohead. This album is loaded with terrific songswith an acoustic sound enhanced by keyboards, pedal steel, mandolin & some strings, including the single 'Put A Record On' and complete with a lyric booklet picture sleeve - if your a fan of Travis, Embrace, Keane, Shack or early James then you will love this album!
