TONY HANCOCK AND STIRLING MOSS Face To Face - With John Freeman (Very rare original 1963 UK Picadilly label 2-track 'monaural' LP interview disc, produced by Pye Records in arrangement with the BBC. Face To Face was a BBC one-on-one interview series for television led by former politician John Freeman, who is best remembered for asking the questions and keeping deliberately out of shot with his back turned for its duration! Hancock's 'penetrative inquiry' was perhaps the most memorable with Stirling Moss' turn in the spotlight no less fascinating, which is featured here on the b-side. This particular rarity comes from the vast personal archive collection of a former music journalist of the sixties and has been locked away in storage for more than 30 years. Both the front laminate flipback picture sleeve and vinyl, which is housed in its original Pye die-cut inner, are near mint! FTF38500)
