RUSS PROCOPE The Persuasive Sax Of Russ Procope (Rare 1956 UK 14-track LP featuring the Alto Sax of Russ Procope, who learned his chops in the amazing Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. On this outing as leader, Russ is joined by Remo Biondi on RhythmGuitar, Earl Backus on Solo Guitar, Paul Jordan on Piano, Mel Schmidt on Bass & Frank Rullo on Drums in a session recorded in Hollywood by Dot. The fully laminated scalloped flipback picture sleeve is showing a little of its fifty years withsome light creasing, a couple of minor tears to the back flips & some laminate split at the edges but the vinyl is amazing with just a couple of cosmetic marks to indicate its history. A nice copy of this hard to find classic at a great price! HA-D2013)
