CHARLIE PARKER The Definitive Charlie Parker Volumes 1 - 8 (Great set of EIGHT UK LP volumes in 'The Definitive' series from the late 1960s, a total of 106 tracks running chronologically from the songs performed in Neal Hefti's Orchestra in 1948 up to 1954 with Bird's Quintet, Big Band and Quartet combos. Includes multiple takes that reveal Parker's flights of fancy and methods of improvisation that marked a significant leap forward in jazz that cannot be overestimated. Each picture sleeve is laminated bar Volume 1. All sleeves and vinyl are excellent)
