JOHN LENNON on RONNIE HAWKINS The Short Rap & Down In The Alley (Extremely rare 1970 US white title label promotional 7", which also includes The Long Rap. There were three issues of this record & this issue actually contains the Ronnie Hawkins track being promoted after John's 'Short Rap' six second introduction. The 'Long Rap' on the other side runs for 1:24, where John speaks at greater length about Ronnie & the single release. John Lennon had great admiration for Ronnie Hawkins, and he recorded this message for radio station airplay to help promote the single 'Down In The Alley'. This copy is in fantastic condition with just a couple of light scuffs visible upon very close inspection - An incredible copy of this very rare promotional release! PR-104/5)
