SUFJAN STEVENS Illinois (Rare 2005 UK Rough Trade issue 23-track Double vinyl LP, the 5th release from Detroit's singer-songwriter and 2nd to be based on an American state [more are planned!], featuring some sublime and reflective tracks based onstories from the Metropolis. This copy of the album features the rare deleted version of the sleeve artwork which was withdrawn following legal action by DC Comics over the Superman image used on the front cover art, indeed a shame as the tri-fold picture sleeve boasts some incredible illustrations although of course making it not only a beautifully presented item but all the more scarce and sought after! The sleeve has one small tear at the top of the spine but is otherwise in superb shape whilst both vinyl discs look MINT and unplayed - A great rare example of a masterclass album in singer-songwriting, "Come On Feel The Illinoise!"
