THE LONDON PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA conducted by ZUBIN MEHTA Turandot (Tas listed 1973 UK Decca narrow band label stereo triple LP box set, also featuring Joan Sutherland, Luciano Pavarotti, Monserrat Caballe, Peter Pears, Nicolai Ghiaurov and Tom Krause with the John Alldis Choir, complete with extensive fifty six page illustrated libretto in English, French & German in a nice picture box. This star studded performance of Puccini's last opera includes Luciano Pavarotti performing asthe unknown prince, a role is he did not often assume despite his famous association with the Prince's most famous aria, Nessun Dorma. The box shows just a little edge scuffing and the vinyl remains near 'as new' with few signs of play SET561-3)
