ALAN LOMAX The Blues Roll On (Amazing 1959 original US 12-track deep groove stereo LP, on a blue & green Atlantic label, of field recordings assisted by Shirley Collins and issued in the Southern Folk Heritage series, originally planned as a supplement to the equally great Roots Of The Blues release. Features the real-deal blues of Fred McDowell (also on the cover), Forest City Joe (who died shortly after this LP was issued), John Dudley & more. Pasted heavyweight laminate sleeve complete with catalogue inner and an absorbing 4-page booklet of notes by Alan. The sleeve is EX+ and the vinyl NM. Highly recommended SD1352)
