THE ROCKETS The Rockets (1968 US 10-track stereo LP, the one and only release from the band, picture sleeve with small deletion drill hole. It didn't sell more than five thousand copies back then, but it impressed a certain Mr Neil Young enough to poach guitarist Danny Whitten, bassist Billy Talbot & drummer Ralph Molina to be his backing band on 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere'. Thus were born 'Crazy Horse'. In fact, the only member of 'The Rockets' not to have at some time also been a part of Crazy Horse was guitarist Leon Whitsell. The sleeve on this copy actually looks forty five years old, with some shelfwear, edge scuffing & corner creasing, but remains unsplit with all text, even on the spine, still readable. The vinyl remains in wonderful condition with just light paper scuffs to show for all those years in the wild. A very nice copy of this extremely hard to find album at an advantageous price! WWS7116)
