FRESH MAGGOTS Fresh Maggots (Extremely rare and highly sought after 1971 first UK issue 11-track stereo vinyl LP. Fresh Maggots were two teenagers, Mick Burgoyne & Leigh Dolphin, who played melodic acid folk-rock. The album features some beautiful harmonies, including the whimsical 'Rosemary Hill' & pastoral 'And When She Laughs', with electric fuzz guitar kicking in at various points to startling effect, housed in a front laminated picture sleeve designed by the legendary Keef. Condition: -

The sleeve has lost little of its freshness, with the soft focus cover art still rich & vivid, the laminate tight and there is just a hint of discoluration in places. The spine is clearly legible, the back panel displays ringwear and general storage wear, but remains free of any tears or writing etc. We are unlikely to find a better one any time soon & this remains a very respectable VG grade example.

The matrices: AGBS 0582-1E / AGBS 0583-1E

The labels are clean with no marks or damage, suggesting light play. The vinyl does display some light hairlines/scuffs and there are a couple of pops on rotation on one track but otherwise playback is great and is graded VG/VG+
