JOHN LENNON 70th Birthday Remasters Series (A wonderful collection of no fewer than thirty two 30cm by 42cm pieces of proof artwork for the remasters series, including the artwork for John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band, Imagine, Some Time In New York City, Mind Games, Walls And Bridges, Rock 'n' Roll, Double Fantasy & Milk And Honey. The artwork also includes proof art for the Gimme Some Truth four CD collection. Of the thirty two, eleven are pristine, but twenty one of them show an element of water staining to some degree and fifteen of those show some paper loss although in only seven cases does this affect the printed artwork. Being proof art, these are often annotated with notes for the subsequent printing and some also have 'Photo Here' blank place markers. Printed onto thick card stock, unlike the digipack bookets themselves, these have otherwise survived in wonderful condition with bright colours and pure white whites. Given the sheer quantity offered here, there is a significant proportion of the printed 5½" by 5" printed areas that are completely unaffected by the historical water, which appears to have snuck up on one corner of the unsorted pile some time in the past. What you choose to do with these and how you choose to file or display them really depends on you, but none of the main cover artwork appears affected, although some do have hand annotations.
