ORIENTAL WIND Chila-Chila (Turkish Jazz Psych Fusion 1979 UK 6-track LP, recorded at the Studio 39, Copenhagen & at the Metronome Studio, Stockholm. Chila-Chila was produced by one of Sweden's jazz greats, Rune Öfwerman, & led by Turkey's greatest jazz drummer, Okay Temiz, alongside Tuna Ötenel, Bobo Stenson, Lennart Åberg & Thomas Östergren. Includes reworkings of native Turkish melodies, Fusion grooves, African rhythms & a track based around a traditional slow Turkish dance called the Zeybek, danced only by men with a pistol & ammunition belt! The laminated sleeve shows just a few faint storage marks or wear & the red translucent(visable when held to a light source) vinyl is near mint SNTF809)
