PENGUIN CAFE ORCHESTRA Music From The Penguin Café (2008 Japanese limited edition 10-track CD album released as part of the 'Virgin Charisma' series, originally released in 1976, presented in a mini-LP style replica card picture sleeve, complete with fold-out Japanese/English text lyricsheet & obi-strip. This is the debut album by the collective led by Simon Jeffes with co-founder Helen Liebmann, legend has it that Jeffes dreamed the concept of the 'Penguin Cafe' and the music thatplayed there, in reality bored with the limitations of the classical world and the constraints of the rock world the pair set out to do something different - this wonderful mix of naive classicalisms, world music, folk and ambience was the result - essential. This copy is in superb 'as new' condition VJCP-68883)
