ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS Buhaina's Delight (Rare 1962 US first press 6-track Mono LP on Blue Note, with the 'New York' address both sides & 'Van Gelder' stamp & 'ear' etchings in the run-outs, starring Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Curtis Fuller, Cedar Walton, Jymie Merritt & the legendary Blakey behind the kit! Comes housed in the original heavy duty pasted laminate picture sleeve. The catalogue inner is enclosed, with some small edge splits due to the thin paper. The picture sleeve [VG+] has nice clean laminate with the UK import tax stickers attached to the rear. The edges remain crisp & sharp with all print clearly legible including the spine [tiny thumbnail split in top edge]. There is a faint corner bow in the top left corner & the back slick reveals some mild age wear & a few scuff marks. The heavyweight vinyl is a clean first pressing & sounds glorious, playing to an Excellent standard indeed. On close inspection, there are just a couple of very minor cosmetic paper scuffs not affecting play. Recommended BLP4104)
