CECIL TAYLOR Conquistador! (1967 US stereo LP on the 'Division Of Liberty' Blue Note label with 'BNST-84260' scratched matrix in the run-outs & no 'Van Gelder' stamp, one of the most commanding performances in Taylor's discography, reflecting an increasing mastery of extended time in performance across these two marvellous tracks. Bill Dixon, Jimmy Lyons, Henry Grimes, Alan Silva & Andrew Cyrille are Cecil's backing men, & they play like they mean business! The picture sleeve [VG] has some edge scuffing, light foxing on the back & mild paper fading, with no deletion cuts or writing & all text legible, including along the spine. The vinyl grades VG+/EX- with merely a few minor scuffs & faint hairlines not interfering with play BST84260)
