JULIE COVINGTON The Beautiful Changes (Rare-as-you-like 1971 UK 13-track vinyl LP on the two EMI box Columbia label with 'factory sample not for sale' sticker to side 1, matt flipback picture sleeve with company inner. Her debut album for a major label has long been unavailable on vinyl and sees her performing material penned by Pete Atkin and antipodean wit Clive James, with help from Herbie Flowers, Alan Parker and Alan Hawkshaw amongst others. The fragile sleeve has a small areaof paper loss to the front and a 1cm strip of [damp?] discolouration to the bottom edge; all in all the sleeve still holds up well considering the design and is free from seam splits or tears. The vinyl has just a few faint hairline scuffs and no real evidence of play, leaving it between Near Mint and Excellent - a fantastic copy which has barely touched the platter! A real 'lost classic' SCX6466)
