WILLIE DIXON ALL STARS Walking The Blues (Mythical Archive Quality 1956 UK 7" single on the original silver & black London label with triangular centre, from the Hall Of Fame artist who pretty much invented the Chess label sound & wrote many aclassic R&B tune of the day including Hoochie Coochie Man, Little Red Rooster & I Just Want to Make Love To You. Dixon recorded this spoken word blues in July 1955 [it was actually a Champion Jack Dupree tune] & it was through the London label in the UK where British music fans had the opportunity to hear these American styles for the first time. Unfortunately this one sold so badly in this country, finding one single copy of this 45 is nigh on impossible. But here it is. Backed with the upbeat 'Crazy For My Baby' penned by Dixon & complete with the original London die-cut company sleeve, this example is as close to Near Mint as you are ever likely to find. Play testing confirms amazing sound - our one play test is likely to be the only time it's ever seen a turntable.... 45-HL-U8297)
