NINA SIMONE Sings & Plays The Blues (2018 UK limited edition 13-track LP pressed on 180gram Blue Vinyl - There can be no doubt that Nina Simone was one of the great Black American women who bridged the movement from Blues and R&B to Soul. She was nicknamed 'The High Priestess Of Soul' and spoken of in the same awed tones as the likes of Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Ruth Brown, but in so many ways she trumps all of them with her musicality andversatility. This release offers ample proof of this and emphasizes her bluesier side. The vinyl is UNPLAYED housed in the picture sleeve which remains sealed within its original shrinkwrap NOTLP275)
