Recorded between 1967 and 1970 at Duke Reid's Treasure Isle Recording Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, Mr Soul Of Jamaica was the first albumby rocksteady star Alton Ellis, one of the innovators of the genre and given the informal title 'Godfather of Rocksteady'. Picture sleeve with original cover art. Although not sealed, this copy remains in a stunning Near Mint condition! MOVLP2345)

Alton Ellis was inducted into the International Reggae And World Music Awards Hall Of Fame in 2006.
