BIX BEIDERBECKE Bixology (Superb 1973 Italian set of no
fewer than FOURTEEN LPs, pulling together his output
with The Wolverine Orchestra & including recordings featuring
the likes of Tommy Dorsey, Eddie Lang, Miff Mole, Frankie
Trumbauer, Joe Venuti, Jimmy Dorsey, Adrian Rollini, Red
Nichols, Pee Wee Russell, Hoagy Carmichael, Bing Crosby, Bud
Freeman, Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa, Bubber Miley & Jack
Teagarden, with each volume in its own picture sleeve. This
represents his complete surviving recorded output in
chronological order from 1924 to 1929. I will make no bones
about it, all the sleeves are distressed to some degree, with
creased corners, edge scuffing & the occasional edge split to
the middle of the top seam. Some however, still retain the
original opened shrink, so it's not all bad news, with all
sleeves otherwise showing minimal general shelfwear. The
vinyl, however, is a different matter entirely with all discs
remaining in at least excellent condition, showing little sign of
play. Some of them, indeed, do actually look unplayed. An
extraordinary set, guaranteed to satify the ears of Trumpet
