DEUX FILLES Silence & Wisdom (Very weird 1982 UK private press 15-track vinyl LP, supposedly the work of a French female duo [Gemini Forque & Claudine Coule] who met as teenagers at a holiday pilgrimage to Lourdes, & shared their grief over their mothers dying through music, only to both vanish without trace during a trip to Algiers shortly after the album's release, with theories from abduction, murder & spontaneous human combustion abound! In reality this was an early incarnation of the group The The, featuring John Porter, Matt Johnson, Steve Sherlock & more prominently Colin Lloyd-Tucker & Simon Fisher Turner [in drag!] as Gemini Forque & Claudine Coule. The duo look more like Brian Eno & Emo Philips on the back of the textured sleeve, & there are curious picture labels too. The sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl looks barely played.
