BBC SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA conducted by SIR MALCOLM
SARGENT Symphony No. 11 in E Minor (1958 UK pair of 12"
double sided metal based high grade methyl cellulose lacquer
acetates featuring a performance recorded at the Festival
Hall in London on Saturday January 25th that year. Obtained
from a long time industry executive and Director of NEMS,
these acetates remain in very nice condition indeed.
Notoriously fragile, these show no more than a few light
scuffs after over fifty five years. The sleeves are hand
annotated with the performance details, but I have not been
able to ascertain whether these were ever given a full
release)
