DON RENDELL - BOBBY JASPAR COMBO In Paris (1955 UK
6-track mono 10" LP, an after-concert get together featuring
the Brit-Jazz star alongside the fine Belgian tenorist, recorded
March 17th, 1955 with Dave Amram (French Horn), Maurice
Vander (Piano), Sacha Distel (Guitar), Guy Pedersen (Bass) &
Jean-Baptiste Reilles (Drums), front laminated flipback sleeve
with notes & facsimile signatures from Don & Bobby. The
delicate sleeve has a small half inch split in the back opening
& a smallprice annotation, all unobtrusive. There is otherwise
just a little light corner creasing & the odd paper chipping in
the corners. The vinyl is a lovely EX/EX- example with just a
few mild cosmetic scuffs not affecting play. A remarkable find

DON RENDELL Playtime (Very rare 1958 UK 10-track mono LP on an
unboxed red Decca label. Burt Courtley, Eddie Harvey, Ronnie Ross,
Pete Blannin & Andy White all star. The picture sleeve is fully
laminated with scalloped flipbacks. The sleeve is in good condition;
there is a 1" split in the opening seam at the top edge with some of
the flipback torn away, however the print is unblemished and clean.
Copies of this early British jazz gem rarely show up mint. The vinyl is
a respectable EX example, with only light hairlines to show for its age.

DON RENDELL QUINTET Space Walk (Archive Quality 1972 UK 7-track
stereo LP in the Lansdowne Series, the first & only vinyl pressing of
this stunning British Jazz rarity led by the late Don Rendell, also
starring Stan Robinson [Tenor Saxophone,Clarinet, Flute], Peter Shade
[Vibraphone, Flute], Jack Thorncroft [Bass] & Trevor Tomkins [Drums],
front laminated flipback picture sleeve complete with the red tinted
catalogue inner. Both the sleeve & vinyl are a remarkable Near Mint.
The panels are super clean & off white, the laminate is nice & tight with
merely the very lightest spot of ring wear starting to emerge & there is
no writing or any concerns. The vinyl appears barely touched with no
spindle marks by the centre hole. On very close inspection, there is
just one or two ever so faint spots of paper wear, barely detectable,
which have no effect on play. A highly recommended archive copy!
