edition 2-LP set, documenting Ellington's concert at a North Dakota
Agricultural College dance at the Crystal Ballroom in Fargo, N.D. on
November 7, 1940, recorded on then-state-of-the-art equipment by
Richard Burris & Jack Towers - this long-lost recording won a Grammy
forty years later for best jazz instrumental performance. Both parts
are housed in unique, fully textured & stickered title sleeves,
annotated & pasted by hand with the tracklist & a few helpful notes by
