ERROLL GARNER Penthouse Serenade (1958 UK release of the 1955 14-track LP featuring tracks recorded by Savoy in Los Angeles in 1949 & New York in 1945, front laminated scalloped flipback picture sleeve with the original record store writing of the first purchaser's name & the price of £1-15-9½ on the back (That's one pound, fifteen shillings and ninepence ha'penny, when the average weekly wage was about £6 - quite an investment). The flimsy sleeve shows a little bending of the flipbacks & some laminate lift, but is otherwise holding up remarkably well after fifty years with only very light shelfwear, mostly on the unlaminated back.
