GRAVY TRAIN Ballad Of A Peaceful Man (1970s South African issue of
the 1971 8-track vinyl LP on the Vertigo 'spaceship' label. The band's
second album and a varied, yet more commercial offering than their
debut, front laminated single pocket picture sleeve with 'Interpak'
credit to the reverse. The sleeve shows a degree of laminate creasing
to the opening edge, otherwise shows only light signs of age, whilst
the vinyl is showing a few light surface scuffs or hairlines revealing
light play and these remain cosmetic, overall this copy remains in
very respectable order especially for releases from this territory)

GRAVY TRAIN Ballad Of A Peaceful Man (Super rare original 1971
Italian issue 8-track vinyl LP on the Vertigo 'swirl' label. The band's
second album and a varied, yet more commercial offering than their
debut, housed in a front laminated top-opening single pocket picture
sleeve variant. There are a handful of scratches to the laminate by the
left edge, but the sleeve otherwise shows only a little shelfwear with all
edges intact and clearly legible spine print. The vinyl is immaculate, and
excepting the official 'SIAE' copyright stamp on the second side, the
labels are unblemished with no spindle wear evident - a fabulous copy
of this extremely hard to find issue!)

GRAVY TRAIN Gravy Train (Very Rare Debut 1970 UK first
issue 6-track vinyl LP on the Vertigo large 'swirl' label, housed in the
striking Hipgnosis-designed fully textured gatefold sleeve with die-cut
'swirl' inner dated '1070'. One of the more tricky UK swirls to track
down, we've simply never managed to find one of this standard before!
The sleeve has just a faint touch of foxing and the lightest hint of
ringwear to the reverse, with minimal edgewear and all the colours
bright, leaving it a fantastic Excellent. The vinyl appears nigh on Near
Mint with just a solitary faint hairline, most likely due to the record
being removed from the sleeve and so little spindle wear it probably
has only been played once or twice. A fantastic copy, the like of which
we most probably will never see again!)
