LUCIFER Big Gun (Extremely rare 1972 UK 13-track [what else!]
privately pressed stereo LP that was only available by mail order from
the cult underground magazine 'Oz'. A spectacular slice of insanely
loud proto-dark metal experimental prog, thisalbum was the first of
just two released by the band, both released in 1972 by mail order
only & both pressed in quantities of probably only five hundred. It is
rumoured that these albums were solo works by occult fan Peter
Walker of Purple Gang [Granny TakesA Trip] fame. Complete with
rare fold out full colour poster, this album was issued in a plain matte
black sleeve with no text at all anywhere upon it. The only clue to
what it is being the picture labels with 'Lucifer' & 'Big Gun' text on the
A-Side label. The plain sleeve on this copy has a couple of small
compression tears from heavy handed storage at the opening edge,
but as this is just a generic black sleeve that can easily be replaced,
we have left this as is, completely original. The poster & the vinyl are
just as they would have been nearly forty years ago when this
dropped through your letterbox in its cardboard mailer. A fantastic
rarity, from both the Underground London scene as the Sixties moved
into the Seventies & also as an invaluable window looking through at
the genesis of the UK prog/rock scene! LLP1)

LUCIFER Exit (Super rare & limited 1972 UK private press 9-track LP
of glorious & primitive Psychedelic Cosmic Rock, only ever available via
the Oz magazine & complete with all the gubbings. The colour poster is
fully intact & unused, highlighting Exit as a soundtrack to a 'Lucifer
film'. The insert states: "Rock-electronics by LUCIFER with
sound-effects & dialogue from the soundtrack of the motor-cycle
shock film EXIT”, & a bonus insert is included to send off for the Big
Gun LP.The outer yellow sleeve has a little light rippling & faint
discolouring from storage but nothing to worry about. The vinyl is
clean & looks barely played LLP2)

LUCIFER Mr. Jack (1973 UK privately pressed 7" vinyl single, taken
from the second & final studio album Exit, featuring the same dark &
menacing Psych recording on both sides, plain die cut paper sleeve.
Lucifer was long rumoured to be the work of occult fan Peter Walker
of Purple Gang [Granny Takes A Trip] fame, however in recent years
both Howard Marks [in his 'Mr Nice' book] and Mike Ratledge [Soft
Machine] have alluded to this being the solo rock project of musician &
filmmaker Denys Irving - You decide! L007)
