MOTT THE HOOPLE Mott (Test pressing for the 1973 UK
9-track LP, with plain white labels & 'S69038 A1/B1' machine
stamped in the run-offs, housed in a plain white card
reference sleeve which is annotated with just the album title.
Very few of these are ever produced, usually just a small
select handful to test the sonics or in some instances send for
review, & certainly never sold to the public in this form. Even
fewer have survived, especially in this condition. The vinyl
appears near 'as new')

MOTT THE HOOPLE Mott (Impossibly rare test
pressing for the 1973 UK 9-track LP, with plain white
labels & 'S69038 A1/B1' machine stamped in the run-offs.
This is the earliest example you will find on vinyl & comes
housed in a unique wraparound proof sleeve. The sleeve has
the UK layout, colours & the Art Deco/'Future Shock'-style
title print in place but comes without the die-cut area
or image of the Roman emperor statue head bust.
Interestingly, the tracklist & credits on the back are in place
yet both the spine number [65640] & front cover catalogue
number [70126] appear to have been chosen at random; a
rare example of how CBS operated & released their early
discs for review! Never sold to the public in this form & more
than likely never to be seen again, the vinyl appears near 'as
new')
