PETER BRÖTZMANN OCTET Machine Gun (Rare 1972 German
issue of the extremely rare 1968 3-track LP, a shining
example of Free Jazz at its best & seriously coveted for that
very reason. The rest of the Octet comprise Sven Johansson
on Drums, PeterKowald on Bass, William Breuker on Tenor,
Fred Van Hove on Piano, Evan Parker on Tenor, Buschi
Niebergall on Bass & Han Bennink on Drums, really operating
as a double quartet more than an octet as convention would
imply. The picture sleeve [with 'Behaimstrasse 4' address on
the back] remains off white & is in fantastic Excellent
condition, revealing merely the odd small corner pinch. The
vinyl is Near Mint. A staggering tour de force! FMP0090)
