180gram VIRGIN VINYL - the late LA session guitar genius Jerry
Cole has long been worshipped for his work with everyonefrom the
Beach Boys & Byrds to Sinatra & Elvis, and by surf fans as the leader
of the Spacemen. But unbeknownst to many, Cole was also the driving
force behind the Animated Egg, a fictitious band whose lone, self-titled
1967 LP is one of thegreatest psychedelic exploitation records ever to
hit the budget bins of US chain stores — and eventually the want lists
of big-spending DJs and collectors! Comprised of splashy,
fuzz-drenched 'Now Sound' instrumental groovers, The Animated Egg
easily lives up to both the hype and the promise of its evocative track
titles: 'Sure Listic', 'Sock It My Way', 'Sippin’ and Trippin'', and — yes

THE ANIMATED EGG The Animated Egg (2004 German 10-track CD
album, originally released in 1967 - a classic example of 'exploito
psych' featuring tripped-out instrumentals [played by session
musicians, including the man behind the entire project, Jerry Cole]
bashed out in next to no time & flogged to 'the kids' as the 'next
happenin' thing [man]' - the recordings were actually outtakes from
sessions released as The Id [other tracks from Cole-related sessions
were released as Stone Canyon Band & T. Swift & The Electric Bag],
but despite the convoluted pseudonyms & session muso shenanigans,
this is a great collection, worthy of any head's attention!)

exploito psych 10-track vinyl LP, containing some great guitar with a
twangy edge, and fabulous organ work, picture sleeve. The sleeve
shows signs of heavy spine scuffing and discolouration, but the vinyl is
in excellent condition, with only light inaudible surface marks to
