THE SPECTRES (We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet (Scarce UK second press solid centre vinyl 7" single originally released in 1967, also including I Want It, Piccadilly company die-cut paper sleeve. A very early single from the band that would eventually spawn the legendary Status Quo, featuring core members Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt as well as former members John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster. This is a far cry from the Rock 'n' Roll now associated with the band, falling firmly under thecategory of Freakbeat, the lead track clealy plants roots with another classic rock outfit, the main riff was clearly borrowed by Deep Purple for their well known number, Black Night.
The labels have just a couple of spindle marks but are otherwise clean and, aside from a few very light paper scuffs, the vinyl shows very little signs of play more...

This is a far cry from the Rock 'n' Roll now associated with the band, falling firmly under the category of Freakbeat. Taken from the collection of former BBC radio DJ Mike Read, this single has been lovingly cared for. Despite a bit of paper loss caused by the removal of a historic sticker, there is not a single mark or blemish to the playing surface. THE SPECTRES I (Who Have Nothing) (Monster Rare 1967 Japanese wide centred 7" vinyl single, featuring a pre-Status Quo, Francis Rossi (guitar, vocals), Alan Lancaster (bass, vocals), Roy Lynes (keyboards, vocals) & John Coghlan (drums). The Spectres signed a five-year deal with Piccadilly Records in the summer of '66 & this was their debut single, produced by John Schroeder, it hit the British record shops in September & then worldwide in Japan in January the following year. It remains one of the most elusive records relating to the mighty Quo! Our Japanese buyer had to stray further afield in order to find one for the first time.
