DANDO SHAFT An Evening With (Rare 1970 UK debut 8-track
stereo LP, recorded when the band were still an all male
quintet, before the addition of Polly Bolton as lead singer the
following year. With music sitting in the Pentangle
progressive folk bracket but with the addition of more
traditional, bluegrass & Balkan elements to the songwriting
that set the band apart, this album was well received but still
sold relatively poorly, making quality copies a difficult thing
to come by these days. The laminated sleeve has succumbed
to a little ring wear & corner creasing, with light wear to the
edges. Given the wrecked state that most copies of this are
found in, I'd say that this natural aging is a rare treat, being
free from writing or tears. The vinyl is Excellent with few
signs of play SSYB6)

DANDO SHAFT Lantaloon (Very scarce British Prog-Folk 1972 UK
10-track LP, the last great but criminally neglected album by the
group, spreading their wings instrumentally here to great effect,
picture sleeve with pinched spine & lyrics on the back. The matt
sleeve shows just a little natural ageing around the edges, as to be
expected with some discolouring to the mainly white areas with all text
remaining clear. The vinyl remains excellent with only light paper
scuffs to indicate any use. Importantly this copy has the very rare
giant colour poster which remains as-new. As good as the music is, it
sold very little at the time, consequently we have never stocked one
with the poster in our thirty years in business! SF8256)

DANDO SHAFT Dando Shaft (Rare British Folk-Prog 1971 UK
11-track LP on the 'Botticelli' Neon label, the "Progressive"
branch of RCA & a short-lived enterprise, making Neon
records not only hard to come by but also very collectable,
great fullytextured gatefold sleeve designed by Keef
complete with the black die-cut inner. The sleeve has a matt
finish. Consequently it has succumbed to a little scuffing along
the edges but with no tears or writing. There is some natural
fading or mild ring wear on the back that let's you know this is
the real deal, first press. The vinyl has been professionally
cleaned & has come up looking sparkling. We would
conservatively grade the disc VG+/EX- due to a few faint
cosmetic blemishes which have little to no effect on play. Far
from mint, this is a very nice example! NE5)

a few light spindle marks but the vinyl is very clean with only
a couple of very light cosmetic surface marks and has no

just some faint spindle lines on the label and is also graded
near mint - a top copy of this hard-to-find prog-folk classic
