RON CARTER Where? (1964 US orange Status label issue of
the 1961 3-track mono LP, Carter's extraordinary debut as a
leader recorded by Rudy Van Gelder, with 'Van Gelder'
stamped in the run-outs. Also stars the formidable Eric
Dolphy, Mal Waldron, George Duvivier & Charles Persip,
pasted picture sleeve with small letter annotation on the
back. The cover has the beginnings of a small split at the
bottom opening which has been neatly tape reinforced
[couple of historic tape marks at the other corners] &
otherwise the condition is exceptional. The vinyl has been
professionally cleaned & meets a VG+/EX- grade, with just a
few faint paper scuffs or light marks which have little to no
