WALTER SUSSKIND conducts THE PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA
Dvorak: Cello Concerto/ Faure: Elegie For Cello & Orchestra
(Highly sought after 1958 UK first edition stereo LP on the blue
& silver Columbia label, featuring outstanding performances of
these glorious Antonín Dvorák & Gabriel Fauré works, as led by
the great virtuoso cellist, Janos Starker. Comes housed in a
sturdy front laminated flipback picture sleeve with the gold EMI
Stereophonic sticker attached & the original company inner bag.
The panels of the sleeve remain nice & sturdy with no writing.
The sleeve grades an honest Very Good with some chips to the
laminate's edges & paper scuffs mostly along the top edge [tiny
thumbnail split in the top right & bottom right corners]. The vinyl
is Near Mint with incredible sound clarity & a very quiet pressing
that gives only the lightest surface sounds in the very quiet
sections. An amazing sounding record! SAX2263)
