THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Cruising With Ruben & The Jets (Rare 1968 US first press 13-track stereo LP on the dark blue & silver large 't' Verve label, featuring 'greasy love songs' influenced by Doo-Wop & Rock & Roll of the fifties with a Zapparaised-eyebrow twist. Comes housed in a great Cal Schenkel gatefold sleeve depicting the Mothers as anthropomorphic dogs! The cover [VG] shows some fading & scuffing from ring wear with a few very minor paper splits & all text is clearly legible, with nice rich colours. The vinyl is Excellent with very few signs of play other than a few faint paper hairlines not affecting the performance. A nice example almost half a century on of the original vinyl mix before the later re-recorded version! V6-5055X)
