THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Trouble Comin' Every Day (A long long time ago, Uncle Frank & The Mothers released one of only two Verve singles in Japan. This one, with sleeve dated 'TO 6711' [Nov 67 Tokyo] was the first and has since become one of the rarest Frank Zappa official releases in the world. Taken from the then-recently released 'Freak Out' album, this wide centred vinyl 7" also includes 'Who Are The Brain Police?', a jolly civil rights themed package all round. What makes this extra special is that the title track is the 2:33 Single Edit, rather than the 5:53 Album Version. Sometimes these are found as fairly tatty copies but even then you still have to pay a small fortune for them. This rare example is a stock copy and only the second that our Japanese buyer has ever found. The thin silk laminated flipback picture sleeve is untorn, free of stickers or writing. The pink lettering really stands out unblemished and the unique design even sports a 'psychedelic' genre header in red, and even comes complete with the original lyric insert often missing. We would grade the sleeve a very pleasing VG+ with just some minor foxing on the back not spoiling the print and otherwise just the very lightest thumb crease from handling, the insert is free of tears and also shows light creases from handling. The vinyl has a deep sheen both sides and grades VG+/EX- with merely a few faint paper hairlines not affecting play. A lovely copy of one of the rarest FZ releases in the world! DV-5010)
