MOTHERS OF INVENTION It Can't Happen Here (Very Rare 1966 UK 'A' label demonstration vinyl 7" for the single release, the bizarre choice for a debut single by Frank Zappa & The Mothers, not least because it was on Verve. The four-prong centreis intact & the label has custom 'Demonstration Record' print & a '11.11.66' release date, & includes the more single-friendly, How Could I Be Such A Fool relegated to the b-side, one of Frank's attempts at a love song! The vinyl even comes complete with its original die-cut company sleeve. The vinyl grades GOOD at best due to excessive wear to the grooves, multiple hairline paper scuffs & the odd small scratch. Remarkably, both sides of the vinyl play through without any jumps, pops or distortion & the clarity of the sound is still something to behold, although there is some unavoidable light surface noise, which is minimized once the tracks get going. A real treat & priced very fairly VS545)
