BURUNDI STEIPHENSON BLACK Burundi Black (Parts 1 & 2) (1971 UK solid centre 7" vinyl single featuring Parts 1 & 2 of the title track, plain die cut paper sleeve. French artist Michel Bernholc used the pseudonym Mike Steiphenson to adapt an oldfield recording of drummers from Burundi’s musical ensemble Ingoma Tribe, remixing it for the Disco crowd. Malcolm McLaren loved it, Adam Ant sampled it & Bow Wow Wow, Slits, PiL & Siouxie & The Banshees all led the wave of the Burundi post-punkbeat. Apart from a catalogue sticker on the A Side label, the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play BAR3)
