JUNIOR WELLS' CHICAGO BLUES BAND Hoodoo Man Blues (Very rare 1965 US 1st issue mono 12-track vinyl LP with blue/light blue labels and dark blue text, pasted picture sleeve and Buddy Guy credited as 'friendly chap' on the reverse panel due to contactual reasons. Often cited as one of the greatest blues recordings of all time, this storming set of electrified harp style blues takes no prisoners and positively jumps out of the speakers, listen out for some blistering guitar work froman un-credited Buddy Guy with Jack Myers and Billy Warren adding bass and drums respectively, not forgetting Wells' incredible harp - essential. The sleeve shows a small patch of discolouration with just minimal edge wear. The vinyl is graded VG/EX as there are some visible scuffs and a few faint hairlines in place, playtesting reveals an incredibly 'live' sounding recording with the odd crackle in some of the quieter passages.
