THE HIGH NUMBERS Zoot Suit (Super rare and highly sought after debut recording by a pre-Keith Moon The Who, original 1964 UK Fontana 7" vinyl single with textured 'Factory Sample' stickered 'Mono' label with anti-slip ring and intact 3-prong centre, die-cut company sleeve. Top '60s Mod action from this early incarnation of the band, Zoot Suit is their take on the US R&B tune 'Misery' [The Dynamics] backed with 'I'm The Face' a cheeky re-work of Slim Harpo's Mod fave 'Got LoveIf You Want It'. The lyrics to both [and band name] were created by manager Pete Meaden, designed to capitalise on their growing Mod fanbase. The B-side gained more radio play/popularity than the A-side and this copy [most likely a radio station copy] has the B-side over-stickered with an 'A', indicating which side to play. The vinyl is strictly graded VG, with some light hairlines visible but no impact on play and sounds great. This is the first copy of this landmark and highly collectable '45 we've ever offered for sale and comes highly recommended TF480
