QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE Anthology (2006 UK 16-track CD album, a great collection of this legendary San Franciscan band's output recorded between 1967 and 1971. They were one of the first bands to form in the area in late 1965, although one of the last to sign to a record company, and were able to negotiate a better record deal as a result! These tracks highlight the famed twin guitar interplay of John Cipollina and Gary Duncan, and provide ample evidence of QMS as the quintessential 'jam band' along with the Grateful Dead)
