Tracklisting & More Information

This is probably the most interesting of the New Zealand releases as it was issued three times and each time it was different. First in 1965 with a front laminated flipback sleeve based on the UK '5 x 5' EP artwork, then in 1969 with a different & unique front cover image but the same back image as the first, then again in 1978 with the same cover image as the second issue with the image repeated in monochrome on the back.
One thing that did stay the same is that they were always in Mono.

The album follows loosly the concept of 'Rolling Stones No. 2', which was not issued in New Zealand, with Time Is On My Side, Grown Up Wrong, Under The Boardwalk & Suzie-Q being replaced by Little Red Rooster, Not Fade Away, Come On and I Wanna Be Your Man.

This is that very rare 1965 First Issue.

Condition:

The sleeve shows some edge scuffing with a small split to the centre of the spine and some laminate loss at the opening but still remains very presentable.
The rear of sleeve shows a little age yellowing and some foxing but still holds its head up as a proud fifty year old.

The labels are similar in design to the UK releases, with silver print on red but differ in that the tracklisting is in black.

The vinyl itself shows several light scuffs and a few small hairlines but still plays through without fault.

A non-mint copy, for sure, but probably better than most that surface on the market and available here at an advantageous price.
